My current class policy is no cell phones. I don't know that I am willing to allow unrestricted use of cell phones. I however, think I can try to incorporate some use of a cell phone to look up statistics. I could then just use the lap tops. Since I teach math, I find it difficult to justify the use of cell phones other than to look up a statistical value. I need to find value in the use of a cell phone and how it is going to add to my instruction and not take time away.
